christmas gift idea #1

Not sure what to get your kids for christmas. I have always thought that teaching toys were the best. This Doll will teach them what happens if they run away, move in with Darryl, and toss away thier future.

What you waiting for...

So marya, who writes one of the most fun Blogs to read, told me to get on the Flickr bandwagon a long time ago... and i finally took the time to and have to say i am hooked. With Flickr i can set up my albums, mail images in from the cell phone, and even update this blog using flickr and phonemail. Go get flickr.

Its funny how technology can put you in a pickle. THose of you who know me know that i read a ton of magazines, learning about places and things and people, some i will visit or see, most i wont. And technology like the web, cameraphones, video, you get the picture... these continue to give me the chance to learn about places and cultures. And yet the more i learn about the world, and places i want to experience, the smaller my world seems to get.

At work, my role requires that i try to keep up with the cultural implications of technology. Hard to do when many of the coolest innovations arent even available in the US. We seem to be so risk averse here. I am reading about uses of technology in convergent personal appliances that make such sense, especially the use of cell phones, combined with banking and paypoint technology. Maybe soon we will become less afraid of failure, and more interested in challenges.

Only 13 more days till the trip. Bethany twisted her ankle pretty badly, so we are a little concerned about that. Looks like a sprain, but she is sure she will be fine before we depart.

Anyway.. off to work.. more later.
